Achilles Sustainability Score

The ESG-focused Achilles Sustainability Score distils Achilles’ Supplier assessment to facilitate Supplier comparison and risk tracking. The Score considers environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors, as well as financial. For Suppliers, the Achilles Sustainability Score drives continuous improvement as they discover areas where they can improve and see how they stack up against their peers. For Buyers, the Achilles Sustainability Score enables them to identify supply chain risks, to improve the environmental and social performance of their business, and to identify reputation threats.

  • The overall score is shown in the circular dial on the left, and each of the sub-categories in the bars on the right. The overall score is a simple average of the sub-category scores.
  • Each category is scored between 0 (low sustainability/high risk) and 100 (high sustainability/low risk).
  • There are parallel grey lines that show the average scores for similar Suppliers.
  • The category bars are coloured from red through amber to green according to the level of risk.
  • Click on a category bar to see strengths and weaknesses identified for each.

Your organisation will only receive an Achilles Sustainability Score when it is signed up for more comprehensive assurance and thus provide sufficient data. This means that only Suppliers who are Silver, Silver+, or Gold subscribers for at least one Network are scored. You must also have at least three component scores to have an overall Achilles Sustainability Score. Note that certain Networks such as StartBANK are excluded from the Achilles Sustainability Score currently.

Documentation and Certification

This module firstly shows whether your organisation has declared certified and up-to-date Management Systems in the published version of your Questionnaire.

The second element – ‘Document Hub’ – shows whether key certificates uploaded by your organisation are in date, soon to expire or expired. Click on View All to see a full list. Note that Document Hub is also available from the Supplier Dashboard and via Upload Documents in the main menu.

  • Each document is shown with its expiry/validity date (where available)
  • An indicator shows whether each is out of date (red), close to expiring (amber) or fully up-to-date (green)
  • Download the document using the icon on the right
  • Note that the Summary of Accounts documents are treated differently as they do not have specific expiry dates – instead they are shown amber 21 months after end of the financial year, and red 24 months afterwards.
  • In addition to the individual statuses for each document there is an overall status for documentation. This is the lowest common denominator of the individual statuses.

For most Networks, there is functionality within Document Hub to upload fresh copies of certificates directly. This is quicker than submission via the questionnaire as you are not required to address any other outstanding issues in the questionnaire.

If you have access to the functionality, you will see an upload button at the top right of the Documentation and Certification window. When you click this, you will see Upload buttons next to each of the documents. Clicking these allows you to supply the documents and answer the questions associated with them.

Some document types are auto-validated and read by our AI engine and you will see progress messages when this is happening. If the AI process runs smoothly the document will be refreshed immediately in the published version of your questionnaire. Key data points will also be read from the document and inserted where appropriate. If not, the submitted documents will go through the usual human validation process before publication.

Achilles Memberships

This section shows all of the Network packages that your organisation has subscribed to. For each, expiry dates are shown for the questionnaire and for your subscription. It also shows whether you have the correct membership level according to any rules set by Networks/Buyers. The indicator next to questionnaire expiry shows whether your questionnaire is complete and up-to-date for your membership level.

Audits

This module shows on the right of the screen when your organisation has undergone an Audit.

Click on More Details for the full audit information. The most recent Audit’s summary data will be shown. You can switch to other Audits using the drop-down at the top of the screen.

  • Key Details: Including report type, ID, Date, Expiry and Assessment Outcome (note Assessment Outcome is highlighted as red, amber or green)
  • Non-Conformance Status: When issues or findings have been raised a table will be shown with the counts and statuses of these
  • Audit Details: Further details on the audit outcomes, including any scores
  • Non-Conformances Raised and Findings tabs: Only displayed when there are non-conformance issues raised against the Audit.

Performance Feedback

If Buyers have left reviews of their experience working with your organisation you will see the average overall score from these reviews, as well as the average sub-scores. Individual Buyer details are not shown, although Buyers may voluntarily share their reviews with you directly.

The sub-factors are as follows:

  • Planning and Delivery
  • Product and Service Quality
  • Health and Safety
  • Environmental
  • Commercial Management

Scope 3 covers the value chain as well.
